Only when you explicitly start recording a track. Incase has no developer-operated app servers. We never receive or retain a server copy of your location. Pins and recorded tracks are stored locally on your device. Copying, sharing, calling, opening directions, or exporting a GPX route happens only when you choose that action. Yes. The siren uses media playback, so the silent switch does not mute it. Its loudness follows your current media volume; raise the volume before use if you need the loudest output. Focus modes do not increase or decrease media volume.

Signals remain active when you dismiss the SOS panel. Return to the panel to turn off individual tools or, in Incase 1.3, select Stop all signals. iOS interruptions, device temperature, and hardware availability can stop a tool. Do not assume a signal is still running after leaving the app.
